Benefit from our experience
Founded in 2009 and based in Berlin, LITTLE BIRD GmbH has successfully digitized the registration, allocation, and administration of childcare spots across Germany. Founder and CEO Anke Odrig and her team – along with their childcare software LITTLE BIRD – have won multiple awards. Departments like sales, development, project management, support, design, and communications work closely together. Everyone focuses on the LITTLE BIRD product and customer satisfaction. Working with municipalities, organizations, and daycare centers, we continuously develop our system to meet individual and current needs. Our focus topics include the Online Access Act, E-Government, and the digital organization of childcare services across Germany. The interactive LITTLE BIRD admin software with its online portal and the KIKOM daycare app ensure secure, digital communication between parents and caregivers, benefiting families, daycare providers, organizations (public, private, or religious), and youth welfare offices.
"As a young mother, I experienced first-hand how difficult and nerve-wracking it can be to find a childcare spot. I was shocked, and after that experience, I immediately started looking for a solution – talking to other parents, daycare directors, childminders, and youth welfare offices. It quickly became clear: this was a universal problem. My idea of digitizing and connecting the placement and organization of childcare spots wouldn’t let go of me.
With LITTLE BIRD, my team and I have managed to solve a socially relevant problem. I’m proud that we’ve earned the trust of so many cities and municipalities. Today, our system also supports after-school care and is highly adaptable to meet our clients’ individual needs – and we’re just getting started."
